The Lord gave His only begotten son....

As I think about this more and more each day, it comes to where I just want to shout it from the rooftops, that God gave His only begotten Son, to die to cover our sins. Just think of that all we have to do is believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we do believe then all sins against us at that time is forgotten. All men are created equal, all women are created equal, and if you say you never sinned then you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself. All have fallen short of the glory of God and sinned against Him. But here it is that we believe in His Son and all sins against us will be forgotten, you may go out tomorrow and sin again but you can find help in Jesus Christ in repentance. As the good man from the backwoods of Louisiana says, I truly believe in Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He came to the Cross at Calvary and died for the sins so I didn't have too, so I believe that I am going to rest on Jesus Christ and put my Armor of God and follow Him where ever He may go.

The Lord knows it all, so where was Jonah going....

Jonah 1:1-3

1 The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: 2 “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” 3 But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.

Like Jonah, many of us forget that the Lord sees all things, great and small. Why does He call upon us and then we take the Lord and brush him aside. He has 7.5 billion people in this world so He will get it done with or without you. I know, I know the New Orleans Saints are playing and it's come down to overtime, but when He ask you personally to go up the road to help someone else in need: Are you going to tune Him out or take a ship and go to Tarshish, remember that He personally ask for you and he will get it done with or without you.....

John 3:16 "For God so love the world..."

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. All you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ. Believe that He died for you in the crucifixion, He died and was raise again in resurrection, and He's coming back. God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit we believe!

How many times do you say "Nah, I got this"?

As many people of today will say these words: "Nah, I got this" if they do not fail now then it's right around the corner. Many times when you could seek God, we want to take God out of the equation and handle it our-self. Some times when God is called to make everything right, we then go right on and tell everyone that we did it. Do not get me wrong when I say that God will allow you to do things on your own. Sometimes you get it right and other times you do not. Our walk with the Lord should be just that, we must put the Lord first in all that we do, and give God the praise in everything that we do. It can take enough to call upon the Lord as to say: "God, please come into my life and be there in my life. God I know it is your will and not mine, I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!"

Devil is he waiting for the door to be open...

Satan has his way of catching us off guard and then pouncing on us. Is he waiting for us to be preoccupied and take our mind off God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. Yes! He has a way of manipulating any circumstances to make it seem like he has the upper hand. Sometimes he even prances around our church service and when you are not seeking the revelation of God, he'll be right there to pull up a seat and tell you all the things that he wants you to hear. Let's take the opportunity to seek God and put the devil out to pasture where he belongs. Let's grow in spiritual revelation so that we will know when Satan trying to get in.

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back Into The Water

Matthew 3:16-17 (KJV)   16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:   17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

John the Baptist was baptizing people when who walk up to the river to be baptized by him. Jesus of Galilee walked into the water and it surprised John, who said that it was He that should baptize him. Jesus said no that through John they would fulfill all righteousness and he did submerse Jesus into the Jordan.  There is no special water that you have to use in order to baptize anyone. But first before you do, then make sure that they have asked Jesus to be a part of there life and that Jesus died on the cross for them. First must be met or otherwise it will be like taking a bath for them.

"Father, I know that my sins have separated me from you. I come to you and ask that Jesus Christ be apart of my life. To make my heart His place to reign in from this day forward. I know that Jesus died for my sins. In Jesus name I pray, Amen."

Lets go out today and start up conversation with people who come around you. You can start up the conversation as to how are they, how is your day or just talking with them. There is someone else there, God, and He can prompt you on when it is a good time to break in with God loves you. Might be today, tomorrow or next week , listening to them will build trust. Remember if your doing what a "good" christian does every day then they know by reputation who you are, what your motives are. That why the listening to them will get them to open up more.

All we have to do is believe...

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.   John 3:16 (NLT)

He was here, He was crucified, He rose again, Christ came to die for you and all you have to do is believe. I am God created, I know that Christ died for me and I am God loved. I know this  because of the life that I have led and just know that I can love you, because of the love that Christ show me. God loves you, Christ loves you, Holy Spirit loves you and I love you.

Good morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening

I recall that we were going through the bible and study about how we were supposed to pray without ceasing? Not just when you were in trouble and needed spiritual help, but at all times. I know this is hard for some of us, but let's call to God whenever we need a hand or if someone else needs a hand. Let us start every morning with a prayer, someone cuts in front of you in their car at afternoon lunch say a prayer,  in the evening, say a prayer because everyone is at home without incident. Saying a prayer will become easier over time.

According to AllAboutPrayer.org, "Praying without ceasing doesn’t take the place of time alone in prayer with God. However, it is a joyful experience to unite with the LORD who lays burdens on our hearts. We can't always stop and kneel, but our heart attitude can still be "praying without ceasing."

Passover, Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Death and Resurrection

1 Peter 1:3 (KJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

How have you reflected on the Lord Jesus Christ in His times of the death and resurrection? How is your heart today?

The Burning Bush

Exodus 3:2 "And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."

How many people today who saw a bush in flames and not consumed by it, would tell you that they saw God. Just the same as people who would scrub if off and think that it was going to consume it just must be a retardant on it.

The Lord comes at you in several ways: Matthew 25:35-36   "For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:   Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." For someone out there is hungry, naked, thirsty, sick or in prison that we must look at as brothers and sisters. because who is it, God or Angel.

There is someone you will meet today who is depressed

Depressed - is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. This is the medical terminology for depression, but everyone has their feeling of depression. I got fired today, I'm lonely, or my father or mother died this week. Many times we will ask how someone is today and they will give a quick response and continue with our day. Feel a little love toward this woman or man and get them to open up and tell you how their day is going. You have to be smart when it comes to a person's psyche on whether they want you to leave or continue your questions. How about today we ask "How is your day going so far" and listen to their answers. You never know when someone is feeling...........?

Jr's Testimony

This weekend was the 2nd annual Women Conference. Which I thought went off without a hitch. Coming close to the end of the conference I began thinking about finances. The Lord has provided what I needed to get by. So I was standing there and Mary came up to me and stated that the Lord said, "He was going to help me." Then Pastor Clifford came up to me and ask me if I could use a pass for the Trimet buses. I started thinking no I do not need one. Then he told me it was good until the 26th and Jules come over and said that she was giving it up because she had another one. And then I remembered that Mary said that the Lord was going to help me, and it was there that I began experiencing God for the first time with the three of these people who did as God ask them to do on my behalf. Thanks

My Father is always at His work

Paraphrasing what was said in John 5:17, 19-20 it says that God is always at work around us. It states that in NIV and I too am working meaning Jesus and you. Join hands with God and enjoy His work together. Not it's better if we do it this way but join in and do God's work. We are going to have questions along the way which God has shown us by His crisis of belief, where we question some things, but if you know that God is asking, then do. John 5:17, 19-20 "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working. I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these." So go out today and see where God is working around you and not to you.

Give it to God

When the day is not going like you thought it would, it time to speak to God!  Just a 10-minute conversation with God can put you at ease. Sometimes that 10 minutes away from your desk gives you the opportunity to gather strength, put everything into perspective, and a little time away gives you time to think. Nothing changed, you are still going to do your job, the only difference is that you gave it up to God. Just minutes in everyday life when you speak to God brings about your spiritual gratitude and you feel God's their with you.

Let Jesus Lead Our Everyday Lives

Today is the day to surrender it all to Jesus! Take up your Armor of God! We want everyone to know that we are people of God! Do not lose your faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit! We are not where we want to be but Christ gave His life up for all of us so that we can strive to be like Him! Hold your head up high and let Jesus lead us in our work environment, our playtime or let's let Jesus lead us no matter where we are at.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day....

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, but did you give thanks to the man who loved us first. I was down on myself yesterday because of it was the nephew birthday who passed away at his own hand, so I did not want to celebrate because of the birthday. Someone who told me Happy Valentine's Day and I did not have anyone to have a valentines day with, and she introduced me to the site where it said "He loved us first". I immediately knew what she was getting at because yes, God loved us first and it brought my frown to a smile. Let's all try to thank God everyday that He loved us first, and with His love, we are able to give love to others.

Where is your Heart at....

Jesus Christ gave up His life so that we all would be saved. He lived among us on the earth, He died for sins against Him that were not true, He rose again and waits for His coming back. When will that be, we do not know. As it states in Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God", but I like you have a choice to make, follow as God would want us to do, or party it up and do nothing. I choose to follow God and through this, I have taken Jesus into my heart, where is your heart at........

I'm Fine

"How are you today?" I'm fine, I'm a little under the weather, I'm so-so. These are things that we could here today if we ask the question "How is your day going?".   Let's ask no matter where we are at today. Go with God today, put Him first in your life.

Boost not of yourself

Not once did Paul boost that it was for himself, but for the Lord Almighty. We must never draw attention to ourselves as Servant leaders, but for the Lord Almighty, we must focus on. Let's get out there and tell everyone about the Lord and Jesus Christ.
